Tea Cake II

Last night the experiments continued. For one I melted 1c chocolate chips and folded the chocolate in to the batter, it was too much chocolate (unless I wanted a full-on chocolate cake, I was going for marbled). Once the cake was baked I drizzled the leftover chocolate liberally across the top.

For the second I added 6oz blueberries, folding them in to the batter. Unfortunately, as the cake baked many of the berries sunk to the bottom and some decided to stay there, so when I tried to turn the cake out of it’s pan pieces of the bottom stayed in the pan (not sure if I should have greased it more liberally, put a layer of batter in the bottom and then the berries, used less berries, etc). The bits left on the bottom were deeeeeeelicious though. I sampled the bottom of the blueberry cake, Huz taste-tested the chocolate one, and I brought the remaining cakes in to share with the faculty (as is my habit).

Hear that Ohians? Hire me and I will bring in home baked deliciousness.
